I couldn’t Say Anything when I Saw Her Again

Image
I couldn’t Say Anything when I Saw Her Again The worst challenges that one may encounter are not about the worst things of the world – these are the best things one can’t achieve because one is not destined to fit into the nature’s formula. Just because of the fact that this one formula fails, one sees the world differently. All that stands rigid are not meant for forever. All that one achieves are not the success stories that stays forever. These are the few things I knew from her. Image Courtesy: From Google It took me four years to see her again. Once she was something I couldn’t live without. But when I saw her again, she was stranger than any one I could imagine. I couldn’t believe it was with my own eyes to see her again. I couldn’t believe how I gained that strength to see her again. Looking back into the mirror of the past, she was someone I trusted more than anyone. I dreamed of the better world with her. I saw the future with her.   Sadly, the...

Made In Thailand, Brought to Bhutan

Image
Genre: Fiction At schools, we meet so many kinds of friends - good and bad. This is a story of a good friend. I know her from my high school. At school she was a hard working girl. She would do her works with passion - as she would describe. She used to say, it takes some passion and some reasons to do the best thing in ones life. She was good in studies not because she was a bookworm, but she lived with perseverance and dedication, I should say. Image from Google I was in class eleven when she was in twelve. As a junior, she was an inspiration. As a student in the same school, she was something on which teachers would cite as an example with pride. Her name was almost like a mantra for our principal to chant every assembly. Her name was in every award ceremonies like these ceremonies won't happen without her name. So, she was such a good student - good in academics,  sports, but all that caught me was her sense of humor. She proved her strength in her higher seco...

Things You Should Learn in High School

Image
What happened to me in my high school is that, I was trained to study, study and study the textbooks and the notes given by the teachers. All that seemed to matter was a good result - a colorful result. Today I regret a few things looking back into my high school days, thinking I never did enough. I should have developed a good communication skills. I should have read a lot of books. I should have learnt how to write well. I should have learnt how to explore beyond the borders of the classrooms.  What I thought in my high school days was that I would get an ample of time to read and improve my communication skills in my college life. But doing this is quite a herculean task. These are some of the things that keep one surviving after high school. Looking into this fact, wishing to develop these skills after high school is quite foolish. It is my opinion that it's right time for the students  to acquire all these skills in high school. What I would suggest are: ...

The Revenant

Image
Image source: http://www.ancient-origins.net/writers-list It has always been difficult for me since I started my college life. In terms of academic performance I am just surviving. Also I have begun losing my interest in the art of writing  –  not because I don’t get time for it but for reasons I may never get to understand. Maybe I just got lost of my track. I have begun losing my interest in reading. Not reading would definitely make writing difficult. During my recent summer vacation I came to understand that I’ve been a bit lazy for the last two years. I have been losing something I might never  be able to recover. So I began thinking I should be getting back into my interests of writing and reading. I am a bad reader. Somebody told me a bad reader is a bad writer. The art of writing begins with the art of reading; just as how well you chop wood would be determined by how good you are at sharpening your axe. From the book I would have ...

Loving Mother’s Cries

Image
It hasn’t been long. I remember it like it’s happening right in front of me. But there’s no other way than to let go these feelings, these nightmare-liked realities I had to face. Indeed, I look back to see that I had always been strong. I’ve always been determined. And these positive feelings in me keep me awake- keeps me remembering I’ve got to prove that I did what I liked. I grew up when Bhutan began its rapid revolutionary growth in terms of development. My childhood days were in that transit where there became lots to do indoor rather than outdoor. Machines came ruling lifestyle – watching television become more fun than being with friends outside- that’s just an example, I should say everything changed. I grew bigger. Adolescence reigned. That temptation to experiment new things began. Then, I was no longer a kid. I was a young beautiful high school going girl. Beautiful, I was. Yes, beautiful. That’s not a brutal brag to confess that I should have attracted at lea...

Every Sunset

Image
Every day starts with the end of the night and the rise of the sun. It rises to the highest peak - noon and descends down. And it sets towards the west. The day ends. One never know what would happen within these two ends. Every sunset has a story to tell. it is a photo from my village

I (N)ever was Strong

Image
To the date as far as I can remember, I wasn't strong enough.  I never was. As a child I was frequently sick. I can still feel how I bothered my parents. I still can feel my dad's sweat from his back as he carried me (along with luggage)  all the way to the nearest health worker -a day long walk without rest, and at the day's end meeting with somebody saying the BHU is closed as Men Babu (an epithet given to health worker) is on leave. It never would have been easy for my mom too- caring a dozen of kids is almost mission impossible  today but she did. As a child who gets sick frequently, how she would have felt to me while she has to raise a dozen of kids? i really would have been something nobody would like but she cared. Note: This image is my own property As I grew I begin depending of my brothers and sisters.  I know how hard it would be helping me aside "keeping-themselves-alive. As a young student I was always scared of teachers (but I don't kn...

...god saw the truth

Image
I don’t know how did it happen but it did. I was fallen for her. The chemistry of such feeling can never be defined. This is what I can say about falling in love. It isn’t magical either because it happens something solidly, something rigidly…something we can see it happening. That’s how my love story with her begins. I was enchanted. Maybe that was god’s decision. Maybe god tested me who I am. Yes, god proved me, I am an adult, and I am strong enough to enter into the realities of being in this materialistic world. It’s been exactly two years I’d been ensnared in her charms. Exactly, two years ago, we sat together promising for togetherness till the end. We promised in front of the gods that we’ll stand together to fulfill the god’s will. We promised, together we’ll make the world better, a better place, at least ensuring happiness to little ‘us’. We promised together we’d grow old. Good days came and went. The bad days followed it. But today I’m here with n...

25 hours a day?

Image
Like a problem in mathematics, there's always a solution to life's problems. But often get jammed between the fear of solving it and not getting the right solution. That's when desperation grows like tumor. That's when sadness grips like tentacles of octopus. Often I feel lonely for no reasons. Often I fall down deep in the abyss of "no-hope-thing" and feel like I'm never going to get out of it. Where's the time to relax when there's work costing 25 hours a a day. Impossible right? But we are caught up in this loop. When are we going to get outta it?? Where's the hope to grow if every trail ends up getting messed up with failure??? Where's the chance to succeed? Wheen will it be possible to kiss the pinnacle of success? Where's a better place to live? Today crossing a street would(sometimes cost lives) though journey all the way to moon is already successful. And the life's problems are unending... However, there's no...

Sonam's Story Continues

Image
I know Sonam from my high school. He’s a year junior to me, let me be specific he’s a class lower than me. I was by then in class twelve when I first met him and began to get enchanted in his charms. High school days are always memorable, may be because those days changed the tide of my life. Before letting you know how did it change the tide, its better I share a bit more about Sonam. The first time I saw him was during a Quiz Contest conducted by the school. His performance was awesome I must say. He answered almost all the questions. I was in the middle of the sea of audience so I couldn’t see his face unless a question was forward to the audience after none of contestants could answer it. I knew the answer. Abruptly, I stood up. It took a few minutes to reach microphone to me. That ‘a-few-minutes’ was the beginning of my eyes following him. The instant I saw him well, I felt something different, and something you may not understand unless you feel it. I’m sure; you’re thinking ...

sky's the limit

My Sonam 0 point Something My Sonam, I would say without any hesitation. He’s once my boyfriend. Let me introduce him. He’s a man with distinct instincts which make him distinct from his other friends. His friends are never of the kind ‘good guy’. His friends are drug addicts, depressed high school bunkers, orphans, and those without a proper job. He is always found to in a hurried mood. He looks always tensed. He has no brakes to control his walks. He walks fast. Is that all that makes him distinct? Nope, these don’t make him what actually he is. I know him like I know myself. And I’m going to share who Sonam is. This is a story of love. Like any other love stories it has knots which grips like silk- the silken knots of hatred, betrayal, lust and something I can’t share it right now. I’ll share this later. More about Sonam, he is an engineering student, a fresh college student studying in one of the prestigious engineering colleges in Bhutan. Engineering student, I know you ...

He is My Boss

I never was and I never will be as sad as when I knew that  my beloved Dechen has betrayed me under my nose. I know, Dechen was a charming girl with well-positioned nose, lovely lips, puffy eyes and silky hair running like a rivulet cascading down her back. It was an early morning when I came out from my long deep slumber as I'd a tedious and heavy work on the previous day. Sun started its journey but was still hiding behind the hills. It was chilly outside. I walked to the toilet brushing my teeth while my phone beeped under my pillow. I rushed back and received the call. "Hi there!" I said with a tinge of drowsines. "Who are you?" "It's me Dechen..." She admitted. She seemed weary and bit angry. So I disrupted her and said, "What's wrong? Anything wrong with you?" I almost blurted out. She murmured, "I can't love you now." She was stuttering. "I....I....never loved you and you're never meant for me!...
