why that stars matter?

Image
bird's eye view of Phuntsholing Town I met with a tourist near the Zangdhopelri in Phuntsholing Town. "Bro, can you help me find a hotel rated 5 stars?", he enquired. "I'm sorry. I'm new here." "It's ok." "But why that stars matters?" He grinned naughtily, "Brother, the more the stars, the more happy you you'll be there." "Forgot that you're already in a happy kingdom?" I asked, "If Bhutan is a hotel, how many stars would you rate?" "There's no star to rate Bhutan..."

Things We Should Take Care Of

I'm impressed. Bhutanese have grown so much. Everyone knows that its important to enroll their children to school. The barriers: passes, valleys and other geographical terrains that barred the connectivity is already surmounted. We can travel both on land and in air. The places that took weeks to reach can be accessed within hours. That's pretty cool. We trade more than ever. We consume more than ever before. We import so much though our export is minimal. We are one of the biggest meat importers by proportion. Aren't these a matter of concern. About these, to people like me, who has limited knowledge don't know much about how it will affect the stability of future's economy. But there's a need to change this trend. There's a need for an idea how we can balance our economy. Modernization or westernization? Dresses is another thing to worry about. In my childhood days, patches were a symbol of not being able to afford new but today its about being abl...

HURT-Proof Heart?

Image
Hurt-proof Heart??? Humans are not programmed. They have their own power to take decisions of their own. They have their own consciousness which dictates what is wrong and what is right. The more the conscious human is, the more precise s/he in taking decisions. However, interaction between the humans is complex because one cannot understand the level of the consciousness in the other. Contradiction in the level of consciousness give rise to clash of so-called emotions giving rise to calamities such as anger, attachment, and ignorance. This eventually is the cause of the misunderstandings that rise between two individuals, communities, societies and at the international levels too. But we are not hurt-proof. One gets hurt because of as simple as another's harsh words. But there is always a way to be hurt-proof. Left by your girlfriend or boyfriend? Failed in an examination? Got rejected by an employer? And many more such questions that I needn’t have to mention, happen ...

Tshangla: My Mother Tongue

Tshangla: Background Though spoken predominantly across the country, Tshangla exists as a primitive language (without a writing system), described it as an unwritten language . Tshangla also known as Sharchopkha (meaning The Language of the Easterners{Eastern Bhutan}) is the major language used in the eastern part of Bhutan, some parts of Arunachal Pradesh (India) and Tibet.  Seemingly, a large population of the Bhutanese use Tshangla . Unfortunately, it is one among the list of the world's endangered languages. Researchers has found that Tshangla is of three typical dialects including Bhutanese Tshangla, West Kemang Tshangla[India] and Pemako Tshangla [Tibet].  The studies done claim that Tshangla is a Sino-Tibetan language of Bodish type. However, it's origination is complex to understand as there is no written record about this language. So  the mystery is, from which part of the world did Tshangla originate? How long has it endured to exist? ...
