Things We Should Take Care Of

I'm impressed. Bhutanese have grown so much. Everyone knows that its important to enroll their children to school. The barriers: passes, valleys and other geographical terrains that barred the connectivity is already surmounted. We can travel both on land and in air. The places that took weeks to reach can be accessed within hours. That's pretty cool. We trade more than ever. We consume more than ever before. We import so much though our export is minimal. We are one of the biggest meat importers by proportion. Aren't these a matter of concern. About these, to people like me, who has limited knowledge don't know much about how it will affect the stability of future's economy. But there's a need to change this trend. There's a need for an idea how we can balance our economy. Modernization or westernization? Dresses is another thing to worry about. In my childhood days, patches were a symbol of not being able to afford new but today its about being abl...

25 hours a day?

Image
Like a problem in mathematics, there's always a solution to life's problems. But often get jammed between the fear of solving it and not getting the right solution. That's when desperation grows like tumor. That's when sadness grips like tentacles of octopus. Often I feel lonely for no reasons. Often I fall down deep in the abyss of "no-hope-thing" and feel like I'm never going to get out of it. Where's the time to relax when there's work costing 25 hours a a day. Impossible right? But we are caught up in this loop. When are we going to get outta it?? Where's the hope to grow if every trail ends up getting messed up with failure??? Where's the chance to succeed? Wheen will it be possible to kiss the pinnacle of success? Where's a better place to live? Today crossing a street would(sometimes cost lives) though journey all the way to moon is already successful. And the life's problems are unending... However, there's no...

I've neither Songs nor Poems

Image
Romantic souls are born poetic, but I'm not. I've neither songs to celebrate her love, Nor songs to repent her negligence. They sing to celebrate and lament the sorrows; They write to express and share the thoughts; But 'tis neither celebration nor lamentation, But 'tis neither expression nor  sharing; Just because this piece has no destination; Who would devour it like a magazine, Just because I'm nothing to anybody? Disclaimer: Nothing personal, it’s just an imagination

Sonam's Story Continues

Image
I know Sonam from my high school. He’s a year junior to me, let me be specific he’s a class lower than me. I was by then in class twelve when I first met him and began to get enchanted in his charms. High school days are always memorable, may be because those days changed the tide of my life. Before letting you know how did it change the tide, its better I share a bit more about Sonam. The first time I saw him was during a Quiz Contest conducted by the school. His performance was awesome I must say. He answered almost all the questions. I was in the middle of the sea of audience so I couldn’t see his face unless a question was forward to the audience after none of contestants could answer it. I knew the answer. Abruptly, I stood up. It took a few minutes to reach microphone to me. That ‘a-few-minutes’ was the beginning of my eyes following him. The instant I saw him well, I felt something different, and something you may not understand unless you feel it. I’m sure; you’re thinking ...

GONE

Image
Gone. Passed. Still life goes on. I breathed. And I'm still breathing.  I saw it. And I'm still seeing it. I see those memories like it happened yesterday.  With you, dreams grew like leaves on the trees. Without you, dreams fall like leaves in fall. Now, with or without you,  Tree of my life is left barren. Let my twigs decay or rise again,  Is left in the whirls of  my thoughts...

sky's the limit

My Sonam 0 point Something My Sonam, I would say without any hesitation. He’s once my boyfriend. Let me introduce him. He’s a man with distinct instincts which make him distinct from his other friends. His friends are never of the kind ‘good guy’. His friends are drug addicts, depressed high school bunkers, orphans, and those without a proper job. He is always found to in a hurried mood. He looks always tensed. He has no brakes to control his walks. He walks fast. Is that all that makes him distinct? Nope, these don’t make him what actually he is. I know him like I know myself. And I’m going to share who Sonam is. This is a story of love. Like any other love stories it has knots which grips like silk- the silken knots of hatred, betrayal, lust and something I can’t share it right now. I’ll share this later. More about Sonam, he is an engineering student, a fresh college student studying in one of the prestigious engineering colleges in Bhutan. Engineering student, I know you ...
